The construction on Basin Avenue, which was supposed to last four months starting in February, is still ongoing. Motorists will not see any relief from the construction in the coming weeks. The county predicts that the rebuild of Basin Avenue will not be finished until September. Excavation work is currently underway, and the Dahlia Street intersection is closed. Paving contracts have been awarded, and the goal is to complete the project before the Fall Festival in September. The project began in January and experienced delays, but now paving is expected to start in September.
