On Tuesday, July 27, at around 1:18 p.m., a fatal fire happened on the 3000 block of West Quail Run Road. One person passed away, and their identity isn’t confirmed yet. Fire Chief Scott Lewis explained that when firefighters arrived, they found a big fire in a house. Two people were hurt, and one had a serious arm injury. A resident who had escaped the fire went back inside to rescue a pet. The firefighters used lots of water to control the fire. They found the victim in a different place than they thought, and unfortunately, the person didn’t survive. A firefighter also got hurt while trying to save them. The fire is being investigated by different agencies.
