(Aggregate News Network) Hunter Biden has taken legal action against Rudy Giuliani, the former personal lawyer to ex-President Donald Trump. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, accuses Giuliani of violating Hunter Biden’s privacy rights by allegedly disseminating content from what has become known as Biden’s controversial laptop.

In the complaint, Giuliani is described as “primarily responsible” for causing what Biden’s legal team calls the “total annihilation” of Hunter Biden’s digital privacy. Additionally, the lawsuit names Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor who previously represented Giuliani, as a defendant, as confirmed by Fox News.

The lawsuit further claims that Giuliani and Costello had devoted a significant amount of time and effort over several months to access, tamper with, manipulate, copy, and disseminate data allegedly obtained from Hunter Biden’s devices or storage platforms. This includes content that was initially published by the New York Post in 2020, which has had legal repercussions and political implications for President Joe Biden.

The heart of the matter is a dispute over whether the data in question came from a conventional laptop or an “external drive,” a point contested by Biden’s legal team. The contents of this external drive include pictures, videos, emails, and other data that have placed Hunter Biden in legal jeopardy and caused political difficulties for his father, President Biden.

Giuliani and Costello have openly acknowledged that they obtained copies of files from a hard drive device that Hunter Biden allegedly left at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019. Giuliani shared this information with the New York Post in October 2020, leading to a story based on Hunter Biden’s emails that implicated President Biden in a business deal with a Ukrainian company that had hired Hunter.

This revelation prompted House Republicans to initiate an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. They claimed that he had used his position as vice president at the time to discourage Ukrainian prosecutors from investigating the company where his son worked. GOP lawmakers also alleged that the president was involved in multiple business deals orchestrated by Hunter Biden.

President Biden has consistently denied any involvement in his son’s business dealings.

Hunter Biden’s legal team had previously issued cease-and-desist letters to Giuliani and others who had obtained and disseminated the laptop’s contents.

The lawsuit filed on Tuesday seeks a court order to prevent Giuliani and others from accessing, tampering with, manipulating, or copying Hunter Biden’s data. It also demands the return of the “device/hard drive” to Hunter Biden, along with any backup files, cloud data, or copies of the same information.

As of now, neither Hunter Biden’s attorneys nor a representative for Rudy Giuliani has responded to requests for comment.

This lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal actions taken by Hunter Biden and his legal team to combat leaks of his personal information. In earlier legal actions, Hunter Biden sued former President Trump aide Garrett Ziegler, alleging the spread of explicit content from the device. Furthermore, Biden initiated a countersuit against John Paul Mac Isaac, the Delaware computer repair shop owner who originally obtained the laptop, accusing him of unlawfully disseminating personal information and invasion of privacy.
